So I am not sure if I impatient or if something didn't un-rar right. I am going to un-rar again and retry but upon first entry I had flashy blue tables in the fireplace with white tiki's on them and statues floating in air outside the wall. The pop-up didn't pop up.
My game is always freaky anyway so I installed under a different user account with no other downloads.
I'll test again and see what I did.

Still does the same thing. One of the bedrooms upstairs is all flashy too. If anything I have a cool new hood without a challenge. |

The problems you describe have happened in other downloaded lots with custom content for me, not just the Fury Lark game. I have 2 things to try to fix.
Troubleshooting--fixes:
1. save, exit the lot and reenter fixed for me.
2. Select it with the design tool you use to change colors on furniture and then select the correct recolor should fix. I found it in a lamp in the upstairs bedroom with the butterfly rug, and on the trophy on the mantle and the pink goth bedroom but choosing it with the selector tool fixed it in all cases for me.
If the floaty urn artifacts show up and don't disappear when you save and reenter lot, pick them up and delete, they don't give you any stenis (usualy) but it gets rid of them. I beta test started this game about a dozen times and got the urn to show up 3 or 4 but it did not other times...and I did not change anything in the game. Again, this happened with other downloaded lots with custom content for me. |

I am at work so can not test but I am wondering if maybe I have subfolders too deep. I just plopped the whole N042 (guessing) folder into downloads. Do I need to just copy everything from the folder and put it into downloads? I feel like an idjit.
I do love that Stan the Candy floss man happened by to read the news paper. Kanita was on the welcome comittee also and she and Fury "hung-out" for the longest time. I keep exiting without saving though so I can try different things to get the challenge to pop up. |

I'm sorry things are flashing blue, though I suppose it gives it that authentic "Nocommente's broken game" look.
Just to make sure we're on the same page - after you unzip you should have one large folder. Open it, there are three folders inside. Put "N042" into the Neighborhoods folder. Put the other two folders into Downloads.
It's always possible that subfolders can be too deep. That's something that's hard to predict. Putting the folders straight into Downloads works for me, but something might be different on your computer. It's worth trying your idea. Let us know if it helps.
If you still aren't getting the first pop-up, try this. Press Shift-Cntl-C to open the cheat box. Enter
boolprop testingcheatsenabled true
in the box. Press enter, and esc if needed, to close the box.
Hold down Shift and click on the controller (looks like the big apple statue). Chose "activate controller."
Enter - boolprop testingcheatsenabled false - to turn the cheat off. Now play for a bit and see if the challenge starts. |

| I will try that as soon as I get home to get the controller to activate. I don't mind the flashing blue so much. I will just look when people post pictures to see what it is I am missing that I might need to get. It would be a good excuse to go on a downloading spree. |

So I tried moving the folders up a level. Nothing. I tried the boolprop testingcheatsenabled true and all I get when I shift click on the Apple statue is force error. So.... I am just going to play them and see what I can do. |

| OK my game is totally freaky. I put the hood on my main user account in the game that crashes all the time and it works! Everything shows up and the challenge popped up. I love the pink spiderweb bed. That is the one that was missing. |

Congratulations on getting it fixed.
If all other explanations fail, we'll pretend the Mysterious Benefactor had mercy on you and shooed you in to help Fury and Lark.
Have fun! Let us know how it goes! |

Somehow I'm not surprised. The Sims is a crazy game, isn't it?
I'm glad you have the pink spiderweb bed now. It's great, isn't it?
