The water wiggler has an unexpected side effectIt makes puddles on the floor above it.
I kept thinking the roof was leaking or something. I kept checking to be sure the entire house was covered by tiles or whatever. Nope everything is covered and water tight. But Fury's bedroom was always flooded.
I finally realized that the water wiggler is in the room directly below Fury's bedroom. So the water wiggler is spraying water upstairs.
Poor Fury goes to bed in a flooded room most nights because the kids decide that the best time to water wiggle is right before bedtime. Which of course keeps his environmental score in the red all the time.

It took me a couple days to figure that out also. I cut the pool size in half and moved it outside. Better than having a floating pink spiderweb bed!

I went through the same thing, and I'm the one who put the water wiggler there. I kept trying to "fix" the roof.
I decided to leave it and let it make messes for everyone. This is supposed to be a challenge, right?

You got us on this one. Took a couple days to figure it out. It's out side now and I don't think they have played with it since. Guess it's too much trouble to go out side to play. Even with more playground equipment out there too.

I kept it inside for just long enough that both Fury and Lark got a few cleaning skill points from mopping up - I didn't have any staff, in my perfect school, so Lark and Fury did all the cleaning and other housekeeping - with a little help from the children. Fury seemed to like cleaning toilets.

Oddly Fury throws fits about it, shaking his fists and stomping his feet, but it's usually Lark who comes in and cleans it.
I missed a good phot-op with the water mess. I've been having humongous slowing problems with that house, so I tried removing some of the CC to see waht was causing it. I removed Fury's fancy bedroom set to see if that was it, but then the whole household ran in to Fury's bedroom and threw major fits because the bedroom set was gone. When they stopped throwing fits, they all started mopping. I was laughing my head off, and forgot to take pics.
Oh and I put the bedroom set back in, since everyone in the household seemed so emotional about it.

That's hilarious. I guess they realize it was made especially for them. How dare you remove it!

AHA, a kindred spirit. I miss so many good photo ops because I am laughing watching them.

I found a solution
I dug a shallow basement in that part of the room. Now the water soaks into the ground as it's supposed to, and technically the wiggler is still inside the house.
The kids play with it every day when they come home from school, and since it's now winter in my game, and they're having snow days, it came in handy to entertain the little monsters...er...darlings.

I love the pink bathroom you added to the play room!

Thanks. That house never has enough bathrooms. Especially with the family growing plus the kids all bring friends home with them from school, and the various walk-in visitors. It's rare there are less than a dozen sims in that house at any given moment.
I was having traffic jams in that one bathroom off the kitchen. I have a pic (too lazy to dig it up right now) where every empty tile in that little bathroom had a sim standing on it. All shrugging of course, because they are too clueless to realize that the person blocking the door needs to be the first to leave.

I love the area you built for the water wiggler. It makes me think of those sunken living rooms that used to be so popular. I always wanted one of those.

One of the first houses I built in Sims2 had a very cool modern design and a sunken livingroom. It's something I'd always wanted in Sims1, and so I couldn't wait to try it with the tools we had in Sims2.
I should rebuild that house (it's long gone of course). It was a big concrete structure with the sunken living area, then the kitchen was on the first level, then there was a balcony surrounding everything, with a view down into the floors below, and the bedrooms were off that. Everything had floor to ceiling windows. LOL I think I had 3 swinging bachelors living there.

I put some water in a ziplock bag and wrapped it around my thermometer probe and taped it up. I have had it in my bator over night. The temps in the water wiggler are consistently higher then the temps inside the bator. Does this sound right? Or is my homemade wiggler not to be trusted?
Has anyone tried this?
