No fishing in LarksvilleI haven't played any other hoods to see if it's a game-wide problem, but in Larksville, nobody fishes in the ponds. No sims are going to the pond autonomously and when I click on a pond to direct a sim to fish, there is no option of any kind.
I took out all my CC except basic old favorite hacks, which are all really common ones that everyone has. Plus I also have some skins. The only other CC is from the Lark and Fury PAK collection.
My game patches are current up to Freetime.
Has anyone else had this happen?

Mine were fishing ok on one of the community lots last time I looked! But that was during some of the beta testing....hummm, goes to dig a teensy pond at the school and check this out!

Ok my sims were fishing tonight when I played. they aren't going to the ponds autonomously like they usually do
(normally Ican't keep them away from the ponds),
but when I clicked on a pond in a house I hadn't played before, they were able to fish.
It also crossed my mind that the ponds might have been frozen, but it was not winter in my game at that point, except at the house with the controller. It's winter at Fury's house, but nowhere else yet, and the ponds all look like they have clear water (not ice).
I have the game running still, so I'll check a few other lots and see if all the ponds are working.

That's strange. Was it fall on those lots? I think ponds can freeze in fall, too.
Off topic, I keep meaning to ask. Did you find Dolby and his family? You asked about them, then I forgot to tell you where they are.

Mine did not fish much at first.
Most were not nature sims so liked doing other things more, one off dancing at the bar, one painting all the time, others playing games or watching movies.
Only when got nature built up did they start fishing on their own but not so much as sims with nature interests. Might be an affect of personality too! but the ponds did seem to work. The only time did not was when they froze.

Thanks Elstone. I found the Dolby's and they were the first 'other' family I played. I forgot to come back and say I found them.
It was summer on all the non-challenge lots when I started playing them, and I've only played each of them for about 2 sims days each. So I guess the ponds weren't frozen.
They seem to be able to fish now, but the only pond where they will go to on their own, is the one at Virgule Sinister's house.
This cracked me up because that lot is so overgrown and so bumpy, that I didn't think they'd be able to get to the fish pond, but 4 neighbors were managing to fish there -- all autonomously.
So I guess whatever it was that was preventing fishing earlier, is not a problem anymore.
