Crashes at School of PerfectionHi, this looks like fun, but when I try to load The School of Perfection it crashes when it gets to the fourth 'block' on the family screen. I removed the Groups cache but that didn't work. Any suggestions?
Really looking forward to playing this.

Do you have all the expansions up to Free Time? If not, that could cause crashes.
See if you can enter one of the other lots.

Yes, I have all expansions and stuff packs.
I took out the hacks, but it made no difference.
It seems I can enter other lots, I tried several - Girls' School, Benefactor, Sinister and The Sinistry and Dilithium. Also tried an uninhabited lot - Suburb-room2grow - 2+br3ba75k and a community lot The Savannah Rose! It looks like the problem is on that particular lot.
So it looks like the only lot I can't enter is the School of Perfection!
Having had a look around the other lots though, this is a true work of art and I'd like to thank everyone who had a hand in making this neighbourhood, it is absolutely fabulous.

I'll have to leave troubleshooting this to Nocommente. Some things I can help with and since you indicated you have all the expansion packs required, will have to refer you to a more experienced person. Glad you are having fun exploring and looking around though. It's fun just playing the supporting cast houses!

I've just taken everything out of my downloads folder except for the ones to do with Larksville and have been able to enter the School of Perfection now, so it's obviously something that I have in there that's conflicting with something. I'm going to put things back gradually and when I find out what it is that's doing it, I'll let you know, in case somebody else has the same trouble.
Sorry, I should have tried that before I posted, but if I can find the problem, maybe that will be of some use to someone!

Ok, I found the cause of my trouble. I had two files for awnings and the creator had redone it, but used a different file name so that the redone file did not replace the original file. So, I had both files in my downloads folder. They haven't caused crashes in the past, but for some reason they did when I tried to launch the School of Perfection. For information for anyone else that may have this trouble, here are the two file names:
Aims_Charmed_P3_Awning_090505.package
and
Aims_Charmed_P3_Awning_Redo_270505.package
The one to keep is the Redo file.
Hope this helps someone. Weird that this caused a conflict only on the School, but all's well that ends well and all that! Of course, that was the solution to my problem, it may not be for someone else, but it's worth looking into.
Now, after staying up until 2 am to track down the file, I can finally get down to playing this great neighbourhood!
